Nursing Home Ministry
First Baptist currently has two nursing home facilities in which we minister to throughout the year. Hope in the Westland area, held twice monthly. We also hold services at Camelot in the Livonia area every third Saturday of the month. We currently have several residents who we are able to transport via the bus routes on Sunday to join us for services.
Our church has been involved in this outreach for over a decade now in which we have seen several throughout the years come to know and trust Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Many of the residents display great enthusiasm and encouragement as we seek to bring them the hope of glory, with God's help.
This is a wonderful and rewarding ministry as many will attest to, and is a place where compassionate Christians can find a great place to serve the Lord. We have a great variety of faithful workers ranging from general helpers, singers, preachers and teachers who are very instrumental in making this ministry effective and who strive to work hard that it may be an outreach in which God can use. We encourage and welcome others who have a heart for this ministry to get involved and allow the Lord to use them as well.
